Sales of existing homes increased in November, and periodic
benchmark revisions to sales and inventory data since 2007 were
adjusted downward, the National Association of Realtors reported
Dec. 21. Current existing home sales increased 4 percent to a
seasonally adjusted annual rate of 4.42 million in November, up
from 4.25 million in October and 12.2 percent higher than November
2010, NAR reported. Revised data for the period of 2007 through
2010 showed that sales and inventory were downwardly revised by
14.3 percent.
