Nevada Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto filed suit
against Lender Processing Services, alleging falsification of
foreclosure documents, HousingWire reported Dec. 16. According to
HousingWire, Matso said the lawsuit is the result of a lengthy
investigation into LPSs default servicing support practices,
including allegedly deceptive statements. The Attorney General also
said that LPS workers were required to execute or notarize as many
as 4,000 foreclosure documents each day.
